Pastor Timothy I. Hurt, M.Div.

Pastor Timothy Hurt was licensed and ordained to preach the Gospel by Tabernacle Baptist Church over 18 years ago. Throughout his journey, he has faced significant medical challenges, including a kidney transplant and numerous life-saving surgeries. Yet, through it all, Pastor Tim has remained steadfast in his faith, never taking his eyes off the Lord. Chosen, anointed, and handpicked by God to be His servant, Pastor Tim’s life is a testament to God’s divine plan, which is evident in his ministry, his love for others, and, most importantly, his unwavering devotion to the Lord.

Pastor Tim is a dedicated scholar of the Word. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State University and Southwest College & Seminary, furthering his education with a Master’s Degree in Divinity from Virginia Union University. He currently serves as the Pastor of High Bridge Baptist Church, where he leads with passion, humility, and a heart committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Supported by his loving wife of 24 years, Amanda Hurt, Pastor Tim exemplifies the strength and unity of a God-centered partnership. Above all, Pastor Tim is a born-again Christian who deeply loves the Lord. He believes in preaching God’s Word “in season and out of season” with clarity and understanding, staying rooted in the Scripture no matter the challenges he faces.

With the conviction that “If God is for us, who can ever be against us,” Pastor Timothy Hurt continues to stand firmly on the promises of God, leading others to experience the transformative power of His love and grace.

Lady Amanda R. Hurt serves faithfully alongside her husband, Pastor Timothy I. Hurt, at High Bridge Baptist Church. As the First Lady of the church, she is deeply committed to the ministry's vision and plays a vital role in fostering church growth and spiritual development. Lady Amanda serves as the Department Leader of Family Ministries, partnering with her husband to strengthen the congregation and nurture faith in every aspect of church life.
​
Passionate about empowering women, Lady Amanda leads the Women’s Ministry with a mission to inspire and challenge women to build strong relationships with God and their families. Her focus is on the holistic development of women—spiritually, physically, and mentally—encouraging them to recognize their God-given value and worth. Under her leadership, the Women’s Ministry provides opportunities for growth, connection, and encouragement, equipping women to live with purpose and faith.
​
In addition to her ministry work, Lady Amanda is a dedicated professional, serving with distinction at VCU Healthcare System for Pediatric Nephrology at the Children's Hospital of Richmond. Her work reflects her compassionate heart and her commitment to serving others, both inside and outside the church.
​
A woman of many gifts and talents, Lady Amanda is intentional in her efforts to empower, educate, and uplift women. She resides in Chesterfield, VA, and has been happily married to Pastor Tim for 24 wonderful years. Together, they exemplify a Christ-centered partnership, committed to serving God and His people with love, grace, and unwavering faith
